Hey ~ Hello Old Friends & New Visitors...
To most I'm known as Annie, April or perhaps Quill, if perhaps our chat paths crossed in the past you may recognize me. Don't be fooled by the age on my page. I'm much younger in spirit than in calendar years. Although these days it may seem cliche' I try to live by the adage "Live,Love,Laugh"!

My interests are diverse.....some of my passions include photography, all the images below I have captured. I hope you enjoy as much as I did preserving them.

My art's in a primarily unusual medium, I re~juvenate old found objects into unique and useful ones, endeavoring to keeping them out of landfills.

My writing is mainly for my personal pleasure, very few have entered my realm of prose.

My travels and other interests may be revealed should you invest a lil time to get to know me...

To those of you who know me and have visited before you will note that in my technically challenged effort to kick my page up a notch I mistakenly deleted my Guest Book...go figure...It was indeed a challenge to install the new one (please friends, humour me by signing the new one below) along with that poofed my International Visitors Flags, yes I had to start over..By the way folks, this is the third time I've tried to re-write my intro, Third time is a charm....

Been There Done That, My Impressions...
~Canada~ I've traveled to Alberta by train, driven to Nova Scotia twice. Impressed by the vastness and diversity from our majestic Rocky Mountains to the wilderness and beauty north of Lake Superior... The urban melting pot of Toronto. History and architecture of Ottawa . The history and uniqueness of Montreal and Quebec City. Cabot Trail, breath taking. Maritime New Brunswick and Nova Scotia jewels of the East.

~USA~ I've traveled through most Eastern States,as far as Iowa, my favourites being Maryland, Virginia, Tennessee, Florida, North Carolina, no offense to the others who all have their own character. I love American history. I have a rough book draft set in Virgina. I would love to visit Civil War Re-enactments for purely research of course. I've found American's over all to be friendly, hospitable and fun. I hope to travel much more there in the future.

~Cuba~ I've been to Cuba five times in various parts of the country from Havana to Holguin. I believe there are many misconceptions about Cuba due to lack of knowledge. I've found the people to be warm, friendly and hospitable I've made many friends there over the years, travelled out into the countryside, visited thier homes . The beaches are beautiful and clean. the art of the locals amazing.

~Dominican Republic~ Pretty Volcanic island in the Caribbean. Very friendly people and pleasing accommodation and food. I enjoyed the wonderful craft market in Sosua. On the down side, it was my first experience in a third world country, the poverty evident.

~Jamaica~ My three week visit allowed me the opportunity to see more of Jamiaca then other islands I have visited. By far the most beautiful from Blue Hole, Kingston/Port Antonio below the sea, Fern Gully, Ocho Rios/Dunns River Falls and Montego Bay..Lets not forget Byron Lee .Ohh and Blue Mountain Coffee the ultimate caffiene beverage Was many years ago that I visited but my impressions as you can see have lasted . Ask me about one particular experience there!

~Mexico~ I arrived in Cancun, immediately felt like I was in a Maimi Beach atmosphere...What was then the Jack Tar Village Resort was the ultimate in Spanish decor. Shopping was excellent in the markets and marble graced malls. Alas I was unable to visit the pyramids and ruins. I look forward to re-visiting on an extended Mexican adventure one day

~San Andres Island, Colombia~ This little Colombian island is the smallest I have visited. Duty free shopping in town was pretty impressive if you kept your eyes shut too and from the resort. The poverty overwhelming rusted out and abandoned vehicles, boats and endless amounts of garbage lined the streets. Beaches littered with dangerous refuse . San Andres could be a beautiful jewel of an island that seemingly and sadly Columbia has forgotten.
